Okay, so I suck at blogging. I'll get this thing down, I swear. It's not that I haven't been working on this stuff mind you, entirely the opposite. So let's get right to the 4-1-1.
Two big things with Schlock!. First, a name change as Schlock was essentially a working title to start with. Anywho, the game is officially Dead Teenager RPG (DTRPG), the name being an homage to Roger Ebert's 'Dead Teenager Movies' comment. If the shoe fits, ya know?
Second thing with Dead Teenager RPG is that John Adamus, who is better known for work on Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, helped me out a ton with development issues. He gave me a lot of information that will really make the game work better, but involves a significant amount of rewriting. (Note - If you are thinking of self-publishing get an editor and get them early, trust me!)
The issue with Critical Mass has been resolved, so it's back in the workflow.
Those Revolting Goblins is still in rewrite and testing. I will be commissioning the art soon.
Finally, while everything else was in a lull, I grabbed out one of my old ideas I had put to rest and typed out the whole game. Dude, Run! is a parody game of Paranormal Investigation TV Shows. But wait, InSpectres! Yes, I agree InSpectres is great and Jared is awesome. This game is not the run of the mill paranormal investigation RPG out there. As far as I know, it's the only one that is played with the premise that the paranormal may not actually exist. Take that for what you will, more details to come. It's in editing and should be releasing later this month through DriveThruRPG and RPGNow.
I'm going to do my best to start posting more and hitting smaller successes (and failures) as they come to keep everyone more in the know.
Have a good one! I need to get back to work.
