Don't Ya Like Clowns?

How about plagues? So, yesterday we released The Afflictionist, a base class playbook for Dungeon World. The Afflictionist is all about making friends feel better, and making enemies wish they were dead. Michael Wight of Gremlin Legions helped out a ton with art, direction, and editing.

Dead Teenager RPG finally hit the shelf in hardcover. You can grab a copy for $26 on DriveThru/RPGNow, that includes the pdf copy too.

Finally, I took a bunch of copies of Dead Teenager RPG and had them signed by Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, Dee Wallace, Ken Foree, Jeffery Combs, and Sid Haig. Sid also hooked me up with a potential charity partner to raffle/auction the books off for a good cause. I'll be posting more about it as things get fleshed out.

Hope you all had a great weekend and happy gaming.

Plugs, Profit, and Passports

Kind of a big week for me, although some of this is pretty dated news. I don't like to leave from beneath my rock, so word sometimes gets to me late. Anyway, nothing but good news, so lets dig in.

Dude, Run! has been setting milestones. Earlier this month it became my first 'print' book sale internationally. This should have told me to dig a bit deeper, but alas, I am kind of thick. Turns out that a review for it was posted in Knights of the Dinner Table. It was an excellent review for being extremely objective and insightful into what the game is (and is not). If you're on the fence about getting a copy, may want to check out Knights of the Dinner Table #207.

Also, earlier today I received notification that Dude, Run! was mentioned in the Roll for Initiative Podcast (Vol 3, Issue 139), thanks Chris. It had a lot about Mobius Adventures' Brick by Brick: Doors supplement. Dude, Run! gets a small blurb in there, and if you can't handle it and need to skip right to it, it is shortly (6-8 minutes) after the hour mark.

Oh, and I happened to notice that Dude, Run! was mentioned on the James Randi Educational Foundation website just after it was released. Guess I can add that one to the 'milestone list' and then mark it off.

Finally, this week we fully made profit. As in, we made more money than we've spent in production costs (things like art and editing). Just another big milestone and wanted to share.

Have a happy Easter (don't forget to play the 'free film' Easter included in Dead Teenager RPG) and happy gaming!

Bad Medicine

I am releasing Dead Teenager RPG as a Full-Color Softcover PoD book here in just a few minutes (I need to make some corrections to the cover for the Hardcover), but that's not the big part of today's post. And I was hoping to make this sooner in the day, but I have been stuck in bed with a migraine/coupled with nausea.

That kind of brings me to my point of action. Two of my fellow game designers are having issues from medical bills. Keep in mind it's not just the bills themselves that take a toll on people, it's the lack of work while accumulating them which doubles the pain. As if the reason for the bills alone wasn't enough.

Anyway, I wanted to take some time to get the word out about the campaigns they have going to help them out in a time of need. Help if you can or share if you can. Thanks.

Renee Knipe is at around 1/4 funded with 40 days left, and some great games for everyone who backs. Her campaign can be found here:

Gareth Skarka is in the home stretch on his, but still has a way to go. Let's help to ease Gareth's situation so things can get back to rolling properly for him and Adamant Entertainment. His campaign can be found here: http://www.gofundme.com/83d8tc

As for me, I'll be fine...I have Vernors and crackers, life is good.

Q1 2014 Sales

It's that time, first quarter sales numbers and updates.

The last 2 months have been great. A huge climb over previous numbers, beating out last October by a hefty margin. That's a good thing. Perhaps I am doing something right.

Updates I'll make quick. Still working on Those Revolting Goblins and possibly I'll be in on another of Matthew Bannock's RPG contests. It's been a tough go this last month, and had all kinds of medical drama with the one cat here to end the month off. Cost of both time and money, BUT she's doing fine. So all's well.

Oh and yes, you may notice proofs of Dead Teenager are getting out there, so it should be in print for everyone soon.
