Wow, where have I been? I guess I've been using as much my free time as I can possibly devote to getting some games written. But I did want to take some time to pop in here, and rant for a bit about antiheroes/antiheroines.
Gamer: So what you're saying is, I could make a character and have enough power to rip the world apart? Like right then, day one?
Me: No, I'm saying you would act as a conduit to the energies, manipulating them to tear the world apart. Doing so would most likely be more then your fragile body could handle.
Gamer: So I can't do it.
Me: You might. It's highly doubtful, and will most likely kill you, but it is within the realm of the possible. Then again, so is winning the lottery more then once, getting hit by lightning more then once, and getting attacked by a shark in fresh water.
Gamer: I am so going to blow up the world.
Me: If you did, where would you keep all your stuff?
The heat was intense. It was hard to breathe and the smoke was getting thick with fumes. You stagger to your feet from the floor where something had knocked you down. You scan the room to find the ceiling had partially collapsed and was now blocking the door.
You try to shake the fog from your head. Why are you in this inferno? The child. The child was still not moving inside the blanket you had wrapped them in. You needed to get out, and you needed to get out now!
