Creepy Doll Studios was created in 2013 as a one-man independent game publisher. The founder, Robert Nolan, wanted to create cheap role-playing games that were interesting and fun to play. He also didn't have much to do after the World didn't end in 2012.
The main core concept of Creepy Doll Studios is that the games should be accessible. You'll find no weird dice or strange card decks here. All the games created by Creepy Doll will use standard things you'll find around the house for task resolution: six-sided dice, playing cards, dominoes, spare change, or even rock-paper-scissors. Books are laid out with tablets and e-readers in mind: digest sized, clean layout, and legible text. Technology is the way of things, the Creepy Doll embraces it. Many of Creepy Doll's games will also embrace the anti-hero, and we mean real anti-heroes, not the Byronic crap. You'll tend to play underdogs in our games, characters that will have to struggle to succeed. We feel that success rocks just that much more when it wasn't guaranteed from the start. Our intentions are to work cheap and pass the savings on to you, so long as we can eat, all is good. Please feel free to let us know how you enjoy (or hate) our games by email at creepyd@creepydollstudios.com |
